The Inspiration - Our Little Bug

Born August 2, 2002, Christian Eilam Sorenson, looked fabulous and perfect, it was hard to believe that he had a fatal heart defect known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).

Due to his condition and his unique anatomy he needed a heart
transplant,
which he received at nine days old on August 11, 2002.  We were told this would give him the best chance at a normal life.

Our Mission

To direct the fight for the prevention, treatment and cure of PTLD - Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disorders through global/international, cutting-edge research, and to empower children and adults with PTLD disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate support, education, advocacy, and hope.

What is PTLD?
These disorders are an important cause of morbidity and
